I was running errands around Passyunk and wanted to take a coffee break. I walked into Ground Up and was pleasantly surprised it was fairly spacious inside. I only ordered iced decaf Americano, but saw that they had some breakfast menu. I would like to try their breakfast menu next time. Iced Americano was made well, and the service was good. I saw many neighbourhood people were coming in and seemed like the workers knew enough of their customers.

Great little neighborhood coffee spot. Excellent coffee and super friendly staff. Bacon egg and cheese croissant was really good as well. Parking is tough, but worth it.

Ground Up Cafe is a great neighborhood spot. I go regularly for their sandwiches. I like their chicken salad on either a wrap or croissant the best! I also order the tuna salad sandwich regularly. And sometimes I order the BLT or bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant...both of those sandwiches are good, too! The think I appreciate the most is the consistency of how the chicken salad and tuna salad are made. You always know what you're going to get. It's not like some places where the consistency or flavors change day by day. So hats off to the Ground Up team for doing what they do so well! Ground Up has a solid base of regular customers, which I think speaks highly of the cafe. Also, I like the music they play - Whoever picks the music has great taste!

I was so impressed with this establishment today. I think the name of the shop is misleading since it is so much more than just a coffee shop. While they do serve Elixir coffee and other drinks, they have a full food menu unlike most other "coffee shops." They have sandwiches and granola and a variety of pastries. As someone who always is on the hunt for the perfect egg and cheese, I was so excited to try one where the egg was fried (not baked) and the cheese was perfectly melted on top. This seems like the perfect neighborhood spot and they offer takeout as well. Service was timely and they have books for adults/kids to occupy you while you wait (such a clever idea!)

Ground Up is a cute coffee shop on East Passyunk with nice indoor seating and one outdoor table for two. We came on a weekday morning and they had a good crowd. I think they use Elixir coffee which I always enjoy. We each ordered iced oat lattes - both were good, but the ice was mostly melted before walking out the door. Not a huge deal as we just added more when we got home. They have a great selection of flavors to add, including white chocolate and toasted coconut - our choices today. Would return and hang out in their space with some food next time.

A cute coffee shop with a cozy vibe in my neighborhood. I love the music playlist. All the staff are friendly and sweet. The coffee is delicious, and the parfait is yummy. It's my new spot to get my work done

Absolutely loved this little cafe. The ambiance is very homey! Seems like a place I'd enjoy studying or working remotely from. I ordered a coffee, a croissant with ham, cheese, and egg as well as some pastries. Everything was enjoyable and fresh. The service was quick and kind! Would return any day!

Great breakfast and coffee! I ordered the lox bagel and a vanilla coffee and both were great. The breakfast sandwiches are very large so it's a good deal for the price. We ordered on a delivery app and it came pretty quickly. I would definitely order from here again! Solid coffee and food.
